Later in 2010, the library hopes to offer craft workshops aimed at our senior members of the community.
The OCR Text Processing course enables learners to gain a diploma in Text and Word Processing. Learners learn and practice the conventions of: letter writing: memo and report writing: editing documents: mail merging; Power Point presentations; speed keying; and audio typing.
The Touch Typing course teaches learners how type without looking at the keyboard and increases their typing speed. Once the course is completed, students can practice letter writing skills, report and CV writing.
All library activities and courses are delivered by the academy librarian, Mrs Ann Lambert who is accredited to deliver RSA text processing courses.
