Humanities

This faculty is diverse and exciting and contains the subjects that help us to explain ourselves and the world around us. Those subjects are History, Geography, RE, Health and Social Care and Psychology. We offer an exciting grounding in History, Geography and RE at KS3 and form part of the core in Next Generation. At KS4 we offer GCSEs in History and Geography (see subject pages) and BTEC Certificate and Diploma at Level 2 in Health and Social Care. We offer History and Psychology at AS and A2 and we are planning to develop our vocational provision to Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care. The teachers in the faculty are dynamic flexible and caring. The Faculty area is a welcoming calm area of the Academy where students’ work is valued and their achievements celebrated.
