Psychology is only offered at Key Stage 5 and is currently taught by Ms A Cox who is a former student. Ms Cox left the then NDTC to study Psychology at the University of Lincoln and has returned to the Academy to share her love of the subject and her expertise with current students. Being such a new graduate she is up to date with all the latest theories and methodologies so we are privileged to have her

Curriculum
Psychology is the study of the functions, nature and phenomena of the human mind and soul and as such is both challenging and fascinating.
Key Stage 5
The department offers study at both AS and A2 level. The work is organised into a variety of options and students participate in practical observations and experiment as well as the study of the work and theories of famous psychologists such as Freud and Jung. Topics include studying dreams and the development of personality.
