Science
We aim to provide all our learners with the skills to succeed in Science. This could be through practical activities which allow learners to discover through experimentation. It could be the research skills that are required to complete our BTEC level 2 and 3 Science courses or application of scientific knowledge needed for our GCSE separate Sciences and A level sciences. We have consistently improved exam results peaking in 2010 with 90.7% achieving 2 C grades and above at GSCE..

Key Stage 3
All students study a broad range of subjects ranging from modules in Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as scientific enquiry. We follow the Wikid Scheme of Work.
Key Stage 4
We offer a series of courses at Key Stage three aimed at allowing everyone to reach their potential. We offer students the chance to start BTEC science in year 9 which allows them to achieve 1, 2 or 4 GCSEs at pass, merit or distinction level. Students can opt to attempt separate sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) in Year 10 and 11 depending on their capability and attainment levels.
Key Stage 5
We offer A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics courses, which prove extremely popular year upon year. We also offer BTEC level 3 Science which is rapidly becoming one of the most popular choices with sixth form students. These courses provide an excellent progression route for all students studying science at Key Stage 4.
