Library & Resources
The Academy Library is one of the most advanced teaching and learning facilities in the area, providing a state-of-the-art environment for learners and the community to enjoy. It contains over 18,000 books housed in streamline book displays and spinners, with modern style tables and chairs and 28 pc work stations enabling individual areas for user privacy. The library is a lovely and well maintained environment. It has a positive influence on the students and other learners who feel privileged to use the superb facilities on offer.
Nearly 2,000 students from the Academy and local schools use the library for learning each week. Many more return after academy hours to attend enrichment and homework clubs or to just drop in for a social chat. The Academy’s Sixth Form students use the library for private study.
